It’s LeviOsa, not LeviosAR!

So if you’re like me then Harry Potter is your life! (Hello, anyone there?) OK, so you’re not like me but Harry Potter has been my life for years.  JK Rowling ignited my love of reading and books, Hermione taught me that it’s ok to be smart, Harry taught me that you can overcome any hardship that life throws at you, Ron and the weasley’s taught me that money isn’t everything, Hagrid and McGonagall taught me about loyalty, Luna taught me about individualism, Neville taught me about courage… I could go on for days.  Basically my love passion for all things HP related went into overdrive the day I went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London.

Number 4 Privet Drive

In total I think I probably spent about 5 hours at the tour taking in everything – the sets, the secrets and the butterbeer!  I just can’t even (yes, I am totally fan-girling right now) comprehend how amazing it was from the moment the doors of the great hall opened to the words “Welcome to Hogwarts”.

Photo by Lily BallSomeone once said that books are the most powerful form of magic and they couldn’t be more right.  One of my favourite quotes from the Harry Potter series comes from Albus Dumbledore when he says “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live” which is something I base my life on.  Stop thinking about the what ifs and stop dreaming.  Make it happen.  If you want to travel then do it, you are the only obstacle to your happiness.

Anyway, enough mushiness, back to the tour!  Did you know that butterbeer was a real thing? AND you can keep the mug? Awesome right?  AND you can ride a broom, AND you can walk the hogwarts bridge, AND you can sit in Hagrid’s motorcycle, AND you can pose on the knightbus, AND you can see the number 4 Privet drive.. (here I go again) I literally cannot even, I can’t even, I am unable to even, I have lost my ability to even, I am so unable to even. #fangirlcentral #always

But what’s even greater than a killer studio tour?  A massive model of the entire Hogwarts grounds?  wrong! (well ok, definitely not wrong but oh my gosh) the gift shop! You can actually buy a quidditch set, goals and all!  I can’t even…

OK, ok, so I didn’t walk away with quidditch goals but I did walk away with an awesome time turner and other goodies and in short, had the best day ever! You must must MUST go to this attraction! I 100% guarantee that you will enjoy it even if you are die-hard Twilight fan (literally get out if you are).  Fear not potterheads, this post was merely a teaser.. I have so much to say about my love so keep checking back but for now remember that hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.
